K- Ville: One is Not Enough

Would anyone be satisfied to have peanut butter just once in a lifetime? All lovers of this delicious treat would bluntly reply no. Now I ask the same question to producers of K-Ville that whether to have just single season of K-Ville TV show was enough.  My reply is also frank and blunt, a simple NO! Entertainment to me is like a luxury car, which takes time to accelerate. To me time was near for K-Ville to touch the top gear to provide ultimate entertainment to its growing fan base. It was a TV show which had the potential to be a classic but it has been derailed of the track before due time.

Though the plot of K-Ville TV series was fictional but Hurricane Katrina is a reality, which has brought permanent change in life of many unfortunate Americans. Also we can observe many volunteers in real life too that have come up to work towards a noble cause of rebalancing the life of those, whose life had been put off balance due to this natural catastrophe. In spite of the cancellation of this potentially great TV series, I still cannot stop admiring all those who sowed the seeds of this wonderful idea.

I have met many victims of Hurricane Katrina who believed in the message propagated by this show. They are disheartened with abrupt cancellation of “K-Ville.” A TV show is not all about popularity or the money its makes it is also about the ethics behind the whole idea. “K-Ville was not only an ethical show but also a medium to propagate a noble cause, though in an indirect manner. I have such a strong connection with K-Ville TV show that I could have never missed an opportunity to download its episodes. When I came across this website, I saw this opportunity on the cards and wasted no time in downloading episodes of K-Ville. I can even use this place to watch this TV show’s episodes online.

The Season- Review

Now it is confirmed that K-Ville is not coming back with the new season, and the season finale became it’s series finale. So let’s have a fresh look upon the season one. The pilot episode first appeared for the first time on internet to promote the show. Now, God knows it worked or not, but the pilot episode was good. The episode starts with Cobb and Boulet’s chase of a killer. He has killed a person from Marlin’s neighborhood, when he was participating in the local charity fundraiser.

In the second episode they are on hunt for an absconder from the New Orleans jail and this search digs out many more attention worthy things. In third episode they discover the underworld of corrupt politicians along with a sex racket. Captain Embry gets trapped into allegations of close relationship with a hooker. But in the end, he is cleared of all charges.

In the fourth episode, Cobb and Boulet encounter a woman’s murder, which is supposedly done with the help of black magic by her jealous ex-husband. In AKA, as the consequences of Cobb’s decision, a glue boy is injured and Cobb is guilty to the extent that he recalls his past as a criminal and goes undercover.

In ‘Flood, Wind and Fire’, Cobb and Boulet find an insurance adjuster’s body in the area where waters still exist. Later in the ninth episode, Boulet discovers a racket run by a local criminal from an upscale shop. In ‘Ride Along’, a reporter investigating shooting investigation travels along Boulet and Cobby.

In the finale episode, Baulet and Cobb are deputed to watch New Orleans native Vin Baer in his college football national championship. Now if you want to know what special did they find about him, you need to watch this episode from here? Enjoy full season of K-Ville here.

A Well Written Show

K-Ville was like a short story. It ran until just eleven episodes and then said good bye to silver screen. But in this short span too the creators depicted a complete story and you can’t say that they have left you with any cliffhanger. You can’t even expect any further development in the story as well. As throughout the entire first season, the two cops with different perception, carried on to solve different crime cases. The most interesting thing on the show is their different opinions about the same thing and their hot conversations have remained the spice of the show.

The dialogues are really well written, as we come to know about the whole situation through dialogues of Cobb and Baulet and when they have different observations then we get to know about all possible aspects of the situation. This provides the viewer too a wider look of the incident.

Writers have added a new crime scene in every episode to make every episode more dramatic than the previous one. They introduced thrilling twists to every case at the right time and thus the episodes succeeded to hook on the viewer from the beginning to the end.

I liked this show, more because of it’s closeness to reality. In the very first episode, writers made it clear that there is some conflict between Marlin Boulet and Trevor Cobb over the problems of the city.

It is learnt that the creators of the show, personally traveled around in New Orleans with local police personnel to get know how about actual working procedures in New Orleans. They used the same way of working for the cops in the show.
I suppose the extremely serious tone of the show made it restricted to a low count of fans.

K-Ville-A flash back

K-Ville is an American TV drama set in New Orleans. K-Ville is a fascinating police drama which follows the Police Offers as they petrol through the streets of New Orleans.

Two years have been passed after the Hurricane Katrina but still there’s chaos and disturbance spread in the streets of the city. Everything is out of order and life seems too tough. Criminals roam around the city having guns and AK047 rifles and no jail, cell or crime lab is re-built. Innumerous Policemen have been killed and those who remain must syndicate their courage and strength to bring law & order back to the city they belong to and they love to.

Policeman who’re set to maintain the law-order in the city of New Orleans are: Marlin Boulet who’s a brash veteran of the Felony Action squad and is skilled in shutting down the most wanted criminals. He lost his partner in the tragedy which happened two years earlier but is still determined to let the criminals bend in front of law. Trevor Cobb, Marlin Boulet’s new partner who is a veteran soldier and has been fought in Afghanistan. He keeps a dark secret and is dedicated to his jib but has some issues about Boulet’s way of doing the things; Jeff Glue Boy, the resident comedian; Billy K9 Faust who doesn’t think before he utters any word; Ginger Love Tap LeBeau the single female member; and Captain James Embry.

So, series follows them as they try to settle the issues in their city in order to make its future exactly like it should be (an ideal city). K-Ville was premiered on September 17, 2007 and the series finale ‘Ride Along’ was aired on December 17, 2007. K-Ville has been cancelled just after first season.
